Destiny and Fulfillment

This is the complete processional I wrote for Shalandra Watson’s wedding. The first part is the processional for the bridal party, the placement of the runner, and the procession of the flower girls; it’s the “Destiny” part.  The second part, “Fulfillment” is the bridal processional. It’s a relatively simple theme, but weddings don’t demand terribly complex music. The focus isn’t the music, after all.  The music is only to establish the proper emotional setting, and to enhance and reinforce the emotional response of the witnesses, as well as the participants. I consider this to be one of my first bona fide compositions. I didn’t write it down, but it is less improvisation than planned performance.
